Marilyn Thompson Memorial Award TierOne Travel
Marilyn Thompson worked in the travel industry for over 35 years and to say she loved her job was an understatement. She became passionate about travel when she took her first trip to Hawaii, at the age of seventeen. From that day forward she decided travel was her calling, and never looked back. Marilyn’s passion for her profession allowed her to travel the world and create countless wonderful family memories with her husband and two children.
The Marilyn Thompson Memorial Award will be awarded to a second year student enrolled in the SAIT Travel and Tourism Program in the School of Hospitality and Tourism. The recipient will be a Canadian citizen selected based on financial need, dedication to their studies, academic achievement, as well as demonstrating community involvement through volunteer and part time work.
