Emily Seymour, a 3rd year Business Administration student studying at SAIT; and Evan Lintick, a Policy Study’s student at Mount Royal, are partnering with SAITSA for their second annual fundraiser for mental health awareness.
In 2018, Emily and Evan swam across Gull Lake, Alberta to raise awareness and funds to help support youth with mental illness or whose family life is impacted by mental illness.
This year Emily and Evan are hiking the trail to the beautiful Lake Agnes Tea House at Lake Louise. It is an estimated 3.6 km one way and the challenge presented is for every $200 raised Emily and Evan will hike up and down the mountain side, for a maximum of 10 laps! The event will take place August 23, 2019 and with your support, Emily and Evan are working to raise $2,000 to help support student mental health initiatives at SAIT.
“We want to prove that it only takes one afternoon to make a positive impact in someone’s life. Small efforts add up to significant change!” – Emily Seymour, 2nd year Business Administration, SAIT
All proceeds will be donated to SAIT in support of mental health initiatives in partnership with SAITSA.
“Student success is at the heart of all the work we do. As SAIT faculty and staff, we walk with our students for a life-time of learning. Mental health is an invaluable component of that success.” – Christina Stein, Alumni & Development, SAIT
