We are a passionate team of SAIT students, committed to creating sustainable and meaningful change in communities with limited access to modern resources. Partnering with Light Up The World, a global organization dedicated to bringing electricity to remote areas, we aim to make a transformative impact in a rural village in Peru. With a shared drive for innovation, hands-on learning, and community development, we’re preparing to design, fund, and install a 10 kW stand-alone solar micro-grid with internet access, providing a life-changing power supply for approximately 200 people across 30 homes, a primary school, and a church.
Our team is spearheading this initiative from concept to implementation. We will: ✔️Design the solar micro-grid PV system, tailored to the community's needs. ✔️Finance the project through strategic fundraising and generous support from our donors. ✔️Install the system ourselves on-site in Peru, gaining invaluable hands-on experience and directly impacting the lives of people who have lived without electricity. The funds we raise will cover essential costs for travel, accommodations, hardware, and sustenance, allowing us to focus on what matters most—bringing light and connectivity to this village.
