Giving Day is a 24-hour marathon of fundraising and celebrating the impact of philanthropy on student success. Our Giving Day is a chance to give back to an area you are passionate about, but it's also an opportunity to celebrate the impact of philanthropy on our campus. The importance of Giving Day goes far beyond the dollars. It is about coming together to maximize awareness around critical areas for student success and helping students navigate challenges. 

You can support any area at SAIT – whether it is scholarships, general need funding, specific school funds, specific research or program areas. This Giving Day we have three (3) priority areas-: SAIT People, SAIT Places and SAIT Possibilities. However, any gift you make can be directed to the area you feel passionate about. If you don't see the specific fund you are looking for you can email giving@sait.ca or call 403.774.5214.

SAIT's Giving Day starts at 10 am on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024 and ends at 10 am on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024. You can give online via sait.ca/givingday. Thank you for your support! 

Yes – the minimum gift amount is $5.

Yes. All donations made to SAIT will receive tax receipts before the end of the calendar year

Yes. 100% of your gift will be directed to the area of your choosing.

Throughout the day we have set up some fun challenges that we will be promoting during the 24-hour period. Each challenge will have a goal, and once that goal is met it will 'unlock' matching funds – increasing the impact of your giving!

Yes! You can mail in a donation and as long as the envelope is received on or postmarked Nov. 5, 2024, your gift will count towards our Giving Day totals. You can send a one-time gift via cheque or money order payable to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) or sign up for a monthly gift with your void cheque. Our address is:

Yes. Recurring gifts are an amazing way to make a significant impact. You can make a one-time gift, a gift by installments, or an ongoing recurring gift. All one-time gifts and payments made towards a commitment will be counted in our totals for Giving Day.
