SAIT’s Giving Day is a key part of the Real Futures campaign, uniting our community to invest in student success and the future of SAIT.  What began as a 24-hour fundraising event has grown into a month-long movement fueled by matching opportunities, giving challenges, inspiring stories and collective action. As we celebrate the 10th annual Giving Day this October, alumni, employees, students, donors and community partners come together to create meaningful impact for learners. Make your gift and share your support using #SAITGIVES, and help shape real futures.  

This Giving Day, we have three (3) priority areas: REAL Students, REAL Places and REAL Tools and Tech. However, you can support any area at SAIT – whether it is student awards, general need funding, specific school funds, specific research or program areas. Real Futures is SAIT’s ambitious $150 million campaign to transform education for a rapidly changing world. More than a fundraising effort, it’s a movement to modernize learning through innovative programs, advanced technology, and inclusive, future-ready spaces that prepare students for success and support Alberta’s economic growth. Together, donors are helping create opportunities that empower learners and shape the workforce of tomorrow.

Yes – the minimum gift amount is $10.

Yes. Donors who give a minimum of $10 will receive a tax receipt before the end of the calendar year. 

Yes. 100% of your gift will be directed to the area of your choosing.

We have planned a variety of fun challenges, which we will be promoting throughout Giving Day. Each challenge will have a goal, and once that goal is met it will 'unlock' matching funds – increasing the impact of your giving!

Yes, you can mail in a donation! So long as the envelope is received or postmarked no later than Oct.29, your gift will count towards our Giving Day totals. You can send a one-time gift via cheque or money order payable to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) or sign up for a monthly gift with your void cheque. Our address is:

Yes. Recurring gifts are an amazing way to make a significant impact. You can make a one-time gift, a gift by installments, or an ongoing recurring gift. All one-time gifts and payments made towards a commitment will be counted in our totals for Giving Day.
